How can I regain my voice back ? What happened to my vocal cords? Why is hubby so happy ?
Q. Oh Parkero ! Love it !!! LOL !! Have you ever lost your voice while "rooting or cheering" for your child's game ? My daughter had a swim meet today, and although she can never hear me, I screamed my lungs out ! My throat doesn't hurt, but I have no freaking voice !!! Any suggestions ?

A. For suffering loss of voice from stressing the vocal cords the following is recommended: (see link below for the myths and facts of home remedies) "Simple and effective, staying hydrated is one of the best things to do when struggling with throat and voice problems. "Moist is good for the voice," said Dr. Norman Hogikyan, a professor and director of the Vocal Health Center at the University of Michigan Medical School. Water can help bring back a lost voice by lubricating the vocal folds and the rest of the throat. The vocal folds vibrate about 100 times per second in men and about 200 times per second in women. Water is necessary to keep that amount of friction from wearing down the epithelial tissue "Vibration of that… [cont.]

A. If you are happy now, fine, but what will happen if your husband wants to get out and have a house of your own? You know, you can't live with family forever, you are married, and the time will come when he will want to get out of there and just be with you, and then the "bliss" might be over with for a while, until you get a job and help hubby out with the bills and the cost of living on your own, that is where communication comes in, and the real part of working on your marriage for real. Your husband sounds like a wonderful guy not minding you not working, but as soon as you see him get stressed out, then you have to realize that he can't "carry" you forever, and he needs your help. Marriage is full of ups and downs… [cont.]

How would YOU feel if your HUBBY didn't say happy mother'S DAY?
Q. Would you feel kind of forgotten about and kind of mad or not care about it? My hubby thinks it's just another day and it's kind of rude. He didn't say happy mother's day before leaving to work. He knows it's mother's day I had just talked to him yesterday about it. I am not looking for a diamond necklace or anything like that just a simple happy mother's day would do. Yes you are right I am not his mother but we have a daughter so there for I am a mother to his child.

A. I would be offended, assuming you have kids lol. You may not be his mother but its respectful to be thankful to you, the MOTHER of HIS kids on this day. And the simple fact that this day is important to you, should make it important to him. That's the bottom line. Whether or not he thinks its just a day, doesnt matter. He should have made the simple effort of saying happy mother's day and meaning it. Happy Mommy's Day :)

Lyrics to "Keep your hubby happy"?
Q. Does anyone know or remember the lyrics to the song "Keep your hubby happy"? Wilma of the Flinstones cartoon sang it when she won the cooking contest. She was holding a turkey or a chicken on a platter over her head. Help please.

A. Wilma's Rockenschpeel Jingle (William Hanna / Joseph Barbera) Wilma sings this little ditty on her TV show The Happy Housewife Program. The melody was lifted from a background cue recorded in 1960 for the shorts being produced at the time. It appears in the episode "The Happy Household". Make your hobby, hubby Keep your hubby happy When he's a little chubby He's the happy pappy With Rockenschpeel (Repeated over and over again)

A. If she is a feminist, she won't be happy and her mind will work like this. If she works and he keeps up the house and kids, he is lazy. If he works and she keeps up the house and kids he is insecure or controlling. If both work and she makes more than him, he can't take care of her. If both work and he makes more than her, she resents him for being "better" than her.

Q. should i listen to him or go with what i want

A. me personally my appearance is to please my man... but i get that some women want their own style regardless of what anyone thinks. if i were in your place, i would just start out a little at a time. cut it shorter every few weeks and gauge his reaction. somethings aren't as big a deal as we make them seem, so maybe he'll like it... or maybe you won't... either way you both win.

Q. how to make my husband happy besides sex. i mean i need him to resept me and then make him happy any good onees out there

A. We're happy when we have competition. Push him to be his best, but don't get overwhelmingly naggy. Compliment him, touch him physically (not necessarily sex), and go out of your way to look good for him. If that means you start walking or hitting the gym to tone up, do so. Be attractive for him and be emotionally available to him.

A. Happiness is not inside you it fills you. You are empty because you have found nothing. Giving to others is what make you happy. Try it. Find some organization or cause or whatever that you can donate yourself to and you will find happiness. The Car and the vacation only go so far. Build a house for habitat for humanity. I just saw a story about this old guy who started delivering roses and now delivers 140 bouquets a week and he seems happy. Find that thing outside yourself that you can devote youself to and you will find happiness. Good Luck

Egyptian ladies can you give me your best advice on how to deal with my new Muslim Egyptian hubby?
Q. :-) Any advice on how to keep my Egyptian hubby happy with me and avoid fights and cultural conflict! I love my habibi
Asked by ;D;'RDLQWDD - Tue Jan 27 21:40:58 2009 - Egypt - 13 Answers - Comments
A. Egyptian men are different in character but there are common traits caused by cultural reasons. They are generally jealous and that comes out of love for you so don't provoke or reject their jealousy. You may think they're possessive but in fact they are protective. Your man wants to be the only man in your life wholooks after you and protects you, it hurts them if they feel some other man cares for you. It depends on the man whether it's ok for you to have other male friends or not. My husband is ok with it as long as he knows them, knows they're good persons and as long as I follow the unspoken rules that does not offend his pride. Of course it all comes sort of easy to me because I am also Egyptian and this is the way I have been raised… [cont.]

A. This is what I have learned. Most men like food, sex, respect, and love (order of importance varies for each man). They are not women and are very different from us in many good, and sometimes confusing or annoying, ways. Many seem to think they are like women or try to make them so (not a good idea and it misses one of the points of marriage - we can learn a lot from each other). Enjoy your man, laugh with him, and have fun!

Make my hubby happy again (in San Antonio)??
Q. My hubby's been having issues at work and is really down in the dumps. I'd like to take him out tonight and cheer him up. Can you give me some suggestions? We live in San Antonio. (The riverwalk is out because of Fiesta...it's expensive!) We are on a very limited budget...so the best answer will probably be one of the most econmomical. I want to go OUT of the house and do something fun. The IN the house stuff is already covered ;-). And, we have a 7 month old that will need to come with us, but I'm not objected to taking her pretty much anywhere, so that's not a big deal.

A. This will sound silly, but give him flowers. He'll be embarrassed and say it's girly but it will make him feel better. Then take him miniature golfing. No one can be bummed while they're putting a ball through a waterfall. The important part is to make him feel special. Maybe you can make a hand print of your baby and make a card out of it. It's the little things that make people feel loved that make the rest of the world melt away. Here are some minature golf courses. Have fun!
