Where does the name "hubby" come from?
Q. I know what it means, but where did the word come from? Did certain people just get lazy along the lines and decided husband was too much to say, or wasn't cute enough? Also - are you a user of the word hubby or not?

My girlfriend keeps calling me her "hubby"?
Q. Yeah, so I'm guessing that's short for husband, she always calls me that these days. And when we go the mall and stuff and she see's a wedding dress she always asks me how she'll look in that. And she asked me when we're gonna get married but it was like in a joking way. Is she hinting that she wants me to propose to her soon?

Girl called my bf her "hubby". Am I wrong to be upset?
Q. Okay, well my bf and I started dating on valentines day and on may 28, we broke up for various reasons that I prob won't get into in this question (but it wasn't cheating that I know of). But on June 7, HE came crawling back to me and wanted me back, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt and now we are back together. Were both in high school but he's older and actually just graduated. He lives in the next town up about 20-30 minutes away and I used to see him every weekend, but now it's only 1 a month because of gas and all that =/ Well, the first time we dated, I saw him talking to and comment on other girls photos and it made me extremely mad so I blew up at him, and he said it means absolutely nothing and that he compliments his… [cont.]

A. Hey, I'm writing this from a caring point of view... please don't stress about this guy. You have a few trust issues bubbling around under the surface so perhaps the first thing you need to do is ask yourself what your boyfriend would need to do to make you trust him? If you don't know then realise that you are always going to have a lot of issues either with him, or with any other boyfriend. You didn't go into the reasons why you split up before and perhaps there are reasons why your trust has been shattered a little. All I'd say is don't give yourself a hard time over this... it is harsh when you see things like that written about someone you love but remember that loving him and owning him are to very different things. If you look at… [cont.]
